Modica chocolate (ciucculatta muricana in local dialect) is a very special type of chocolate typical of the area. Unlike normal chocolate, Modica chocolate is grainy and crumbly, thanks to its sugar crystals. It is also prepared in different flavourings, always recalling the true scents of Sicily.
